This past September Team Myriad joined more than 500 women for Bright Pink’s annual health and wellness event, FabFest 2013. The event was co-hosted by Giuliana Rancic and Lindsey Avner, and led by Chicago’s top fitness professionals. This action-packed day pushed individuals to challenge themselves physically and inspired everyone to make lifestyle changes to proactively reduce their risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer over their lifetime.

Team Myriad exceeded the goal of $2,000, blowing it out of the park with $3,350! The total funds raised for Bright Pink’s FebFest event was $500,000! Founded in 2007 and based on a dream of empowering young women to become advocates for their health, Bright Pink is now the only national non-profit organization with an exclusive focus on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young women. Bright Pink engages young women in potentially life-saving conversations, while arming them with knowledge and empowering them to take control of their breast and ovarian health. Their website gives an overview of how they work to accomplish their mission: www.brightpink.org
