Myriad Continuing Education On Demand Addressing barriers to care Addressing barriers to care June 24, 2022 This webinar will outline various disparities in hereditary cancer care and highlight tools, methods, and focused efforts to improve care delivery and reduce barriers in this patient population. Identify underlying social determinants of health that impact barriers in clinical genetics and hereditary cancer care. Examine provider-oriented obstacles in accessing genetic services and discuss strategies for empowering patients/families and providers to overcome these barriers. Evaluate racial disparities in BRCA testing and discuss focused efforts to improve care delivery.
