Jackie’s father had cancer.
She didn’t know what that meant for
her—until she got answers.
Before her father’s diagnosis, Jackie had never heard of BRCA1. Genetic testing wasn’t even on her radar. Then everything changed, and the questions came quickly:
- Am I at risk of developing hereditary cancer?
- How do I find out my cancer risk?
- Is there something I should be doing now?
That moment when awareness catches up all at once can feel overwhelming. But it can also be a turning point. Following her own journey with genetic testing, Jackie decided to partner with Myriad Genetics to help spread awareness of hereditary cancer testing and educate others.
Discover your cancer risk
If your family history includes multiple cases of the same cancer on one side of the family, diagnoses before age 50, or rare cancers such as ovarian, pancreatic, or male breast cancer, it may be time to look closer.
The MyRisk® test analyzes 63 genes linked to 11 hereditary cancers—including breast, ovarian, and uterine—to uncover risks that may not be visible through family history alone.
And because your story is more than your DNA, it may also include the RiskScore® assessment, which combines personal history, family history, and ~150 genetic markers to deliver a more complete risk profile, including your five-year and remaining lifetime risk of breast cancer, even if no genetic change is found.

See whether your genetic risk is increased or not, so you’re not left guessing.
Personalize your care plan
Use your results to help guide next steps with your provider, from additional screenings, risk reduction strategies, or ongoing monitoring.
Feel informed and prepared
When you understand your risk, you can make informed decisions with confidence and take a more proactive role in your future.

How it works
Two ways to test
-
Test in-person through your provider
Testing through your healthcare provider offers a more integrated approach to your care. We can contact your provider about ordering the test for you, and once results are received, they can help interpret your results within the context of your full health history. Together, you can discuss next steps whether that’s additional screening, prevention strategies, or ongoing monitoring.
- Test anywhere through virtual care
Request in-person test
Your healthcare provider can order the MyRisk test for in-office testing. We'll contact your provider to coordinate next steps for testing with MyRisk.
Request virtual care
This option allows you to complete the process from home, with a test kit shipped directly to you. You’ll still receive expert guidance to understand your results and next steps, making it a convenient, accessible way to get the insight you need on your schedule.
"I feel so passionately about the screening, and finding out what's going on, so you can make the next right decision for yourself."
—Jackie Tohn, actor
