That commitment extends beyond the office and is why so many of our employees actively give back to their communities. Each October, we participate in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, which unites 300 communities across the country with “a shared determination to finish the fight against breast cancer.” Once again this year, Team Myriad was the number one fundraiser of the 276 teams who participated in the local event in Salt Lake City, Utah, raising more than $29,000. The top individual fundraiser was our Team Captain Rob Harrison, who collected more than $7,000. In addition, several of our employees and their families demonstrated their support by spending their Saturday participating in the 5K walk. All of this was done to help the American Cancer Society conduct breast cancer research and provide education and support to patients and families affected by breast cancer. We are proud to support their efforts and to make a positive difference in the communities where we live and work.
