3 easy steps to getting tested

Chat with an expert

Chat online with a board-certified genetic counselor to learn more about whether hereditary cancer testing is right for you.

Order a test kit

If you choose to get tested, pay $39 for a doctor to order your test and ship a saliva kit home.

Review results

You can expect your MyRisk test results about two weeks after your saliva sample reaches the lab. When they're ready, you’ll also have the option to meet at no cost with a board-certified genetic counselor from Myriad to walk through your results and talk about next steps.

How much does testing cost?

Before your MyRisk test is processed, it’s important to understand your insurance coverage and any potential costs. This helps to make sure you won’t receive an unexpected bill.

Most commercial and federally-funded insurance plans cover hereditary cancer testing1 and the majority of patients face no out-of-pocket costs for MyRisk testing2.

The cost to order the test is $39. Additional lab and processing fees may apply. Before processing your test, Myriad will send you a personalized cost estimate to understand your cost – if any – and your options prior to running your MyRisk test. If it’s more than $249 per test, give us a call at (800) 469-7423 within three days. We’re happy to talk through your options. Please note: once your results are ready, we’re unable to adjust your payment method.
