June is Men’s Health Month and it’s important to help generate awareness on education for early detection of Men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer.  Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in Men, not including skin cancer. 1 of 7 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in his lifetime.  To help promote prostate cancer awareness, Myriad Genetics interviewed several Prolaris Testmedical professionals about the most common questions they  get asked from men recently diagnosed with prostate cancer.  Video below.

A recent study showed the Prolaris Test accurately predicted 10-year risk of metastasis in men treated for prostate cancer. The data was  presented at the American Urological Association’s (AUA) annual meeting in May 2017.  Most significant with that study, the Prolaris Test  showed strong predictive power in both African American and Non-African American prostate cancer patients.
