Genetic testing for breast cancer risk looks for inherited genetic changes that may increase your chances of developing breast cancer. While BRCA1 and BRCA2 are well‑known breast cancer genes, they are only part of the picture. Other inherited mutations, along with your personal and family history, can also play a role.
By integrating all these components together, testing gives you and your healthcare provider clearer insight into your true level of risk. This helps guide more personalized care, whether that means earlier or more frequent screenings like mammograms or MRIs, or prevention strategies that can help lower your risk.
The MyRisk Test with RiskScore goes beyond other breast cancer risk assessments, like Tyrer-Cuzick, by combining genetic insights with your personal health and family history. This gives you and your healthcare provider a more accurate, personalized view of your breast cancer risk to help guide a care plan tailored specifically to you.
Evaluates 63 genes associated with 11 hereditary cancers, including breast, ovarian, colorectal, uterine, skin, pancreatic, gastric (stomach), prostate, renal (kidney), lung, and endocrine.
RiskScore gives a five-year and remaining lifetime breast cancer risk estimate that is twice as accurate as the Tyrer-Cuzick model alone.1
Your results come with clear, actionable recommendations based on trusted clinical guidelines. Our team of board-certified genetic counselors is available to help you understand what your results mean for you.
