Edith Smith DNP, CNM, WHNP-BC, AGN-BC, CGRA

Edie is a doctorally prepared advanced practice registered nurse. She is triple boarded as a women’s health nurse practitioner, certified nurse midwife, and advanced genetic nurse. She is vice president on NCBC Certification Board, and she also assisted in the creation and support of the American Nurses Credentialing Center Genetics Certification. She has a special interest and expertise in breast cancer assessment and the management of women at high risk for breast cancer.

Katharine Lord PA-C, MMSC 

Katharine is a certified physician assistant. She has been practicing at Texas Oncology since 2012. She received her Master’s of Medical Science in Physician Assistance from Emory University. She has served as lead APP for Texas Oncology’s Central Region Governance Committee and APP representative to Austin’s Physician Executive Committee. She has published numerous articles and oncology journals on a number of topics, including the incidence of germline mutations in patients with primary CNS neoplasms. And fall of last year, she pivoted from a medical oncology focus to breast surgery.

Lauren Gima MS, CGC 

Lauren is a licensed and board certified genetic counselor specializing in clinical cancer genomics. She earned her master’s degree in genetic counseling from Northwestern University and joined City of Hope’s Division of Clinical Cancer Genomics in 2017. She provides genetic counseling services at the City of Hope’s main campus. And she is involved with local GC programs and the City of Hope’s intensive course in cancer risk assessment.
